About the clinic

A Family Dental Clinic in Peshawar You Can Trust

Family Dental & Aesthetic Clinic looks after patients of every age on the first floor of Al-Sayed Tower, Nasir Bagh Road. Led by Dr. Tabassum Ajmal, we cover everyday dentistry, such as check-ups, scaling, fillings and root canal treatment, alongside implants, crowns, dentures and orthodontics.

For patients who want to improve how their smile looks, we offer teeth whitening, veneers and smile makeovers, planned together with your dental health rather than separately.

Children are welcome from their very first tooth. Short, friendly visits help them grow up relaxed about the dentist.

Answers from our dentists

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a painkiller fix severe toothache?

Painkillers can ease the pain for a while, but they don't treat the cause. Toothache usually means decay, infection or a cracked tooth, and these get worse without treatment. Antibiotics alone don't cure an infected tooth either. Book a visit as soon as you can so we can find the cause and treat it properly.

Does root canal treatment hurt?

The treatment is done under local anaesthesia, so you should feel pressure rather than pain. The tooth may be tender for a few days afterwards, which normally settles with ordinary painkillers. Call us if pain or swelling gets worse instead of better.

How often should I have a dental check-up?

Most people should have a check-up and cleaning every six months. If you have gum disease, braces or many fillings, we may suggest more frequent visits.

Is professional teeth whitening safe?

Yes, when a dentist supervises it. We check your teeth and gums first, protect your gums during treatment and use gels at safe strengths. Some people notice temporary sensitivity, which usually fades within a few days.

Why are my teeth sensitive to cold?

Common causes include worn enamel, receding gums, a cavity, a cracked tooth or brushing too hard. A sensitivity toothpaste can help, but it is worth having the cause checked so we can treat it.

Why do my gums bleed when I brush?

Bleeding gums are usually caused by plaque irritating the gum line, the early stage of gum disease. A professional cleaning and better brushing and flossing at home usually stop it. Bleeding that continues should be examined.

When should my child first see a dentist?

Bring your child in when the first teeth appear, or by their first birthday. Early, positive visits make any later treatment much easier.
